Let Palestine Be Free
— Biplob Kabiraz
The cries of blood-soaked children float through the air,
Eyes that lost their mothers search for solace in despair.
The city of stone now lies in ruins deep,
Under the sky, bodies rest, and sorrow does not sleep.
No father, no brother, the earth became their bed,
Life’s melody today plays only tunes of dread.
In Ramadan, they break with scraps, on Eid, tears fall,
Palestine weeps today — peace is nowhere at all.
A tiny hand clutches the Holy Qur'an tight,
Shaking at bombs that shatter the quiet night.
Fear and pain swallow every darkened hour,
Yet still, their eyes dream of freedom’s flower.
May the moon of peace rise in their skies someday,
Not destruction, but love shall build the way.
Let the world witness, let them hear the cry,
Of a nation that fights just to survive, not die.
Palestine, you shall be free one day,
Justice will return, come what may.
This heart longs for the world to rise and speak,
So no child wakes in blood, but in love so meek.
